Welcome to Year in Review. By using our mobile application, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to update your information as needed. You must be at least 13 years old to use this app. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Subscription & Billing

Year in Review offers a free tier with limited features and a paid subscription ("Pro") with additional features including AI chat and advanced analytics. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your device's subscription settings. Refunds are subject to Apple's or Google's refund policies.

3. AI Chat Disclaimer

The AI chat feature provides general insights based on your tracking data. AI responses are generated by third-party language models and should not be considered professional advice (medical, financial, psychological, or otherwise). We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI responses. You use the AI chat feature at your own discretion and risk.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in the app, including trackers, entries, notes, and tags. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service. You are solely responsible for the content you create. You agree not to create content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: - Use the app for any unlawful purpose - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems - Interfere with or disrupt the app or its servers - Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app - Use automated means to access the app without permission - Impersonate another person or entity

6. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, code, and branding are owned by Year in Review and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the app without our prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Year in Review shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill. The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated terms in the app. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
